I have been meaning to start a blog for some time now, especially because my kids just seem to keep growing, developing, learning and indeed changing each day. The time is flying by and it would be nice to have something to look back on - and for them to look back on - in years to come.
Today seemed like a very good opportunity to begin as Ben was in his first school play this evening (not counting the play he took part in whilst attending the Dolls House). He took some convincing to wear his costume and to take part, not to mention outright bribes! He kept insisting that he would stay in the classroom and play whilst everyone else went on stage. poor thing, he said he was scared because the lights 'go low'. He also didn't want me or his dad to come and see him. In fact, initially he was to play the part of a King in the Nativity story, but burst into tears when the teacher dressed him up! He was then recast as a shepherd, which, although didn't thrill him, at least he actually let the teacher get him dressed! And what an adorable shepherd he made(funnily enough he also played a shepherd at the Dolls House). Jasmine was so excited to watch all the children in their play, she clapped ecstatically at the end of each song and kept asking in a rather loud voice, 'where's Ben?'! Towards the end, she escaped and went to sit with the foundation children at the side of the stage (see pic). As promised during a bribing session, I took Ben to Tesco afterwards to buy a chocolate Pooh Bear lolly.

On another note, I think i'm going to have to do a few restrospective blogs. I have some real cute pics from the kids birthdays etc, just need to find the time....
