Another Picasso in the making....?

On the theme of future careers, I think Ben is going to have something to do with art. He can draw so well for a 3 year old and his writing is also amazing for his age. He can write his name, Jas, mum, dad and can copy any word I write for him very legibly. He loves his ‘workbooks’ and can spend ages practicing his writing, pattern recognition etc…. His school was running an art competition with the theme of ‘seasons’. We decided on summer (well I did actually, as most of the craft stuff I have is better suited to the summer theme, than the winter one Ben wanted) and Ben drew a butterfly, some grass, clouds, a bee, a tree, and himself and Jasmine (holding hands, as he proudly told me). He also stuck on some flower crystals. The result is stunning and with very minimal input from myself (I drew the black lines on the bee and the outline for the tree trunk as well as cut out the yellow circle for the sun).

If he doesn’t win for his year group then they must have a mini Monet at Glebelands! Will keep you posted! Meanwhile, here’s a photo of the picture. Fan letters can be sent to the usual address.
