That evening, me and Nick went out for a delicious meal in a tiny hamlet called Strete at a restaurant called the Laughing Monk. The food was superb and it was a real treat to have an evening off from the kids just to ourselves.
On our drive back, we decided to stop off at the beach in Slapton. It is a really beautiful location because you drive on a road which has the beach on one side and a sort of lake on the other - so everywhere you look there are stunning views. On this night, the moon was so bright and lit the water so beautifully that we had to get out of the car and go for a little walk.
