Hip, hip, hooray!!! Ben is 4!

I can't believe my baby boy is 4 years old!!! Where on earth has the time gone, I can remeber being pregnant with him like it was yesterday.... As I'm sure most of you know we have been experiencing some freak weather here in England, with more rain than I have ever witnessed in my whole quarter century of life. But on the eve of Ben's birthday (which, as in years previous, we were having at his grandmother's in Nottingham) I prayed for sunshine and a ground dry enough for the children to take advantage of the huge back garden. I did play it safe though and decided against the planned barbecue, but as it turns out we got both sun and dry(ish) ground. And we had a blast. For the first time Ben was able to invite his own friends and we had Kieron (his best friend), Anya, Dhru, Rhianna, Melissa, Kway and Oliver. Not to mention lots of family and parents of said friends. We bought Ben a bike and his face was a picture when he saw it - alhtough he did exclaim 'but I wanted a scooter!' Granddad Allen came up trumps with the scooter, and feeling left out, Jasmine went hunting in Pippi's garage and found a scooter of her own. Between that scooter and the safety helmet (that her aunty Gail bought her as consolation for it not being her birthday), she was one happy camper. In fact, her and her beloved scooter were inseparable. Pics to follow....
